I am Chris van den Brink, a freelance CCIE certified networkprofessional.

I like to think of myself as an experienced, eager to learn and trustworthy Cisco / Juniper networking specialist with working experience in the field of routing and switching and MPLS service provider networks. I am also an experienced engineer in the field of multivendor secured environments. I also have expertise in Unix, Linux and Windows environments.

I started my IT career out in 1999 as a Microsoft System administrator with Yacht ICT. From thereon I have developed and specialized myself to become a Cisco/Juniper-networking specialist/consultant. My knowledge covers mainly, but not exclusively, complex Cisco/Juniper routing and switching environments and service provider networks that are based on MPLS technologies.

Since 1999 until now I have held a variety of IT jobs, starting out as Microsoft System administrator up to TAC3 Technical Support engineer. Some employers I have worked for are Dutch Ministry of Defense, Dimension Data, Cap Gemini, British Telecom, KPN and Routz/SSCplus. I have held multifaceted responsibilities to configure, install, design, validate complex network infrastructures.

Since 2002 the main focus of my working activities have been on Cisco/Juniper products and technologies. Complex networking environments and large scale service provider networks are my main working areas.

Since 2004 I have been working as a Cisco/Juniper networking specialist/consultant. In this role I have delivered knowledge and expertise to design, test/validate, configure and manage networks varying from 100 nodes to large scale networks consisting of thousands of nodes. This role contributed to the expertise needed to obtain the highly desirable CCIE certification (CCIE #21047).

Some keywords that cover the projects and working activities I participated in, are : design, implementation, redundancy/resiliency, security, expansion, segmentation, testing, and redesign of networks.

Some well-known certifications I currently hold are Cisco CCIE #21047(R&S), Juniper JNCIP-SP and Huawei HCDP.
